Co-founder and Operations Director
Thiago Hara
He runs the site. Demolition through handover, on the drawings Nathalia signed.
Thiago Hara is co-founder and operations director of One Group Design + Build. He is responsible for everything after the drawings are done: the crew, the trades, the sequence, the money and the date.
He came to Canada from Brazil in 2017 with Nathalia and their first daughter. Before this he spent fifteen years running operations in manufacturing, at one point across teams of more than a hundred and twenty people.
The firm holds a builder licence with Ontario’s Home Construction Regulatory Authority, and he runs the construction under it.
Off site, tennis, and a camp stove somewhere with the family.
On bathrooms
“Waterproofing may not be the most glamorous part of the renovation, but it’s one of the most important.”
